John Legend latest single "Penthouse Floor" featuring Chance The Rapper is giving us a mix of soul and funk while also addressing overcoming social mobility in today's society.
In this single Legend just wants to have the time of his life without any cares in the world while also sending a message when he sings "Once you're above the city lights / Won't want to spend another night, down there on your own / The holding on is made for us / The altitude is dangerous, but we ain't going home."
This is the second single off following up "Love Me Now" off of Legend's forthcoming album Darkness And Light releasing in two weeks December 2nd.
