Take A Look At Our Latest Interview With T.Carriér

From previously being known as "Smoove Baby" upcoming artist now known as T. Carriér is ready to take his career and sounds to new heights.

We've here at R&B Supreme had the pleasure of getting to know more about the Bay Area native rapper/singer in our recent interview:

1. Tell us about yourself and your music?

I like to consider myself an artist that speaks about chasing your dreams, overcoming tough obstacles, dealing with friendships/relationships in my music. Real life relatable subjects but introspective at the same time.

2. How would you describe your sound?

Definitely a fusion of rap and modern R&B. I love creating melodies and then also being able to drop a fire ass verse in there.

3. Talk about the experience making your single?

"Feelings" was almost an automatic for me, the moment I heard the track I came up with the hook fucking instantly. I laid it down with my verse and reached out to Caleborate about getting on it and the minute he heard it he texted me with hella flame emojis haha. He's the homies and I'm a big fan of his work, I told him that I wanted the more raw, uncut Caleborate, a lot of his music is real chill but I was like I need that hard shit! It came out amazing I was really happy with the way it came together.

4. What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

Right now I'm working on my album, Gumbo & Prerolls. Taking my time with it giving myself time to live life and experience things while creating with dope artists & musicians along the way. Hoping to have it finished no later than 2017. Working to do some big shows and tours very soon.

5.  What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

Biggest highlight for me so far is probably changing my stage name from Smoovie Baby to T. Carriér, and being able to transition successfully. It was something I had been wanting to do for a while and it felt good to reinvent myself get a fresh start. And this is literally the beginning I'm excited as hell.

6. Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?

I absolutely have to work with Lil Wayne. Definitely would be down to work with Drake, Andre 3000 & Kayne. Gotta aim for the fucking moon ya know! As far as producers though I really want to work with Pharrell, Boi-1da, CardoGotWings & 40.

7. Name something random that people do not know about you?

 I love playing Monopoly.

8.  What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

I've learned that you really have to know your shit. Business has to be on point, along with the way you brand and market yourself. But also you have to be yourself which sometimes is hard to do in such a competitive industry but if you can do it you will be successful. Also gotta have fun though and not take yourself too serious.

Make sure you check out T. Carriér's latest project There's Been A Change Of Plans available at most digital retailers and streamers now, but first press play on his latest single "Feelings" featuring Caleborate below:
