We've all been affected by the tragedies of the African Americans that has been wrongfully murdered recently. Trevor Jackson is joining the many musicians, athletes, actor/actresses, and more who are standing up for our rights in his latest single "Colours On The Ground".
In this single Jackson is one of the many people who are fed of all of these latest wrongful tragedies that've been happening to African Americans when he sings "I hold my hand up, my hoody on / Complying, still I'm dying / I just had my hands up, my hoody on / No gun was drawn, still they find a way to make us / Colours on the ground / That's all they wanna see / To them we'll always be / Is just another colour on the ground."
Here's what Trevor had to say about the meaning behind his recent release :“I wrote this song after the Alton Sterling and Philando Castile shooting and with the recent unfortunate tragedies involving Terence Crutcher, Keith Lamont Scott & Terrence Sterling, I felt compelled to share the song in hopes that it sheds light on these dark times. Using the pain and frustrations that I know a lot of us deal with fueled me to create something that I pray helps others cope with the current state of our country. We can no longer turn a blind eye…change is necessary.”
We've all been affected by the recent tragedies of the murders of African Americans, but when is enough enough, we here at R&B Supreme along with many fans are here with Trevor Jackson in his latest single "Colours On The Ground"
