Jam of the Week: Annalé - "Roses"

We have that certain type of ideal love that we want for ourselves. Rising artist Annalé is expressing how she sees her ideal love story going in her latest single "Roses".

In this new gentle single Annalé is ready for that real unconditional type of love when she sings "To be honest I'm a sucker, for romantic love stories / Baby I know it / Baby I know it / Roses die too / Oh yes they do / Can we catch the pedals before they hit the floor, babe?"

The Korean-American singer is currently based in LA but raised in both South Korea and New Jersey, which shows in her music the variety of cultures that influence her sound.

Here's what she had to say about her sound and love for neo-soul music via Singersroom: "I love music that I can feel and am pretty eclectic when it comes to the type of music I love", said the 23-year-old. "Once I discovered artist like Lalah Hathaway, Erykah Badu, Floetry, India Irie, Norah Jones, Adele, Sadé, Jill Scott, Brian Mcknight, Mint Condition, Musiq Soulchild, and Lauryn Hill, I felt something almost visceral. Their music, melodies, move and inspire me."

Annalé debut album is said to currently be in the works so make sure and keep your eyes out for any updates on it. Check out this weeks Jam of the Week Annalé latest single "Roses" :
