If you aren't familiar we want you to meet Shenna as she talks about her sound and latest single "So Low" :
1. Tell us about yourself and your music?
Hey! I am SHENNA, an Indie-Pop/R&B artist from Woodbridge, VA. I started off singing with my cousins at a young age and then started recording and entering competitions at the age of 10. I decided to move to NYC after releasing my first project "Dream In Color EP".
2. How would you describe your sound?
I would describe my sound as mainstream pop beats with my own tone and Indie style over it. I grew up listening to pop, alternative rock, and rnb music and believe my music fuses those styles together.
3. Talk about the experience making your single?
Yes! My album releases next month and I am planning a mini tour! I can't wait for everyone to hear this music.
I think my biggest highlights recently have been touring Toronto, Canada with a live band and also having my music selected for the 2016 season of "The Bad Girls Club"! I just pray that this next project is well received as well!
6. Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)?
I would absolutely love to collab with Calvin Harris for production, Rihanna for collab, Sia for songwriting, Black Eyed Peas for a band to play with me live, Jhene Aiko for something very free, and Corinne Bailey Rae for a singer-songwriter collab!
7. Name something random that people do not know about you?
You have to be careful who you let into your creative personal space. As a serious artists you may have to risk-being out in the scene and staying home perfecting your craft. It is all about disciple and balance.
9. What can we expect from you in the future?
Never give up on your dreams and stay motivated!
On that note if you need another source of motivation to move forward and leaving the stress behind press play on Shenna's latest single "So Low" and stay tuned for her forthcoming debut album releasing later this year.

3. Talk about the experience making your single?
Creating "So Low" was very easy writing wise because it was exactly what I was experiencing in that moment. I started by writing the chorus "You tried to change me that's so low so now I'm going solo." and then decided to incorporate a little rap in the second verse and asked my producer to tie in some middle eastern influence in the beat. It just felt right while I was creating it.
4. What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

I wouldn't mind moving to the UK and expanding my music career over there! This is something I would actually do!
