Along with the rest of us, Chris Brown has been affected by the recent murder tragedies of Alton Sterling and Philando Castille last week.With his strong fan base and major voice in the music Brown took it to his music to show how he feels with the first uplifting track " A Lot Of Love" and a pain soothing ballad "My Friend".
On the first release "A Lot Of Love" CB brings brightness to the situation as he's inspired by The Five Stairsteps classic hit "O-o-h Child" when he sings "Feels like a burden’s on our shoulders, don’t let it get you down /
Through all the prejudice and violence, your heart still can smile / You
gotta say, 'Ooh child, things are gonna get easier."
In the second release "My Friend" Breezy said in a IG post "This song I released for free for anybody dealing with injustice or struggle in their lives." As he helps with soothing the pain of these tragedies happening he croons "I can't even cry/ Anxiety at night/ Can't make up excuses/ Gotta face the music."
For all those who has been having a hard time dealing with these recent tragedies, artists like Chris Brown are standing up and using their voice and art to help stand up and sooth with his two new songs "A Lot Of Love" & "My Friend Below":
