Tyrese Releases Mini-Movie 'The Black Book' Featuring V-Bozeman & Tank
Making his directorial debut, Tyrese has gave us a special gift for this Easter Sunday with the premiere of his mini-movie titled The Black Book. This mini-movie is also broken up into three music videos that discusses the topics a relationship can go through from infidelity, to lust, to struggle, to eternal love. Ty admits to using some elements seen in the popular love story movie The Notebook.
Co-star V.Bozeman had a strong relation with the character because of what she's been through in her life. “I had to support it because I had lived it firsthand,” she said to an audience member who asked about domestic abuse’s role in the film. “And this is what we got out of it. I encourage all women to speak out and spread the word about this piece because it’s real. It’s very real.”
Ty also had his own reference to the role he played relating it to other dark things that can happen in life. “We’ve all experienced trauma and being in dark places, whether it’s relationships, family, losing family members. We’ve all been in that dark place that most of us hope never to have to go back to, but I feel like there should always be something positive, something beautiful. It was just my way of complimenting God. When challenges present themselves, I often say that you will grow through what you go through”, said Tyrese in a Billboard Q&A.
They use three songs to tell the story in this mini-movie Tyrese and V.Bozeman duet "You Can't Break Me", "Waiting For You", "Prior To You" featuring Tank, which was both on Tyrese's recent album Black Roses.
